The 5th grade classes had a great time at the Connecticut Science Center today! Yesterday, 5th graders conducts mini science labs to investigate sound. This was in preparation for our trip today. Today, students first focused on the exhibits about sound to go along with our current unit of study in class. Later, students were able to explore a range of topics, including space, forces, motion, innovation, electricity, and, my favorite topic of the day, "Grossology" (the traveling exhibit). Students also watched the filming of WFSB segments about the Science Center and met one of their Meteorologists, Mark Dixon. Thank you to our chaperones for coming along and sharing this day with us.
