Week of 10/6

4th Grade: Students will take an assessment on addition and subtraction of whole numbers on Thursday.  We will spend Wednesday reviewing by playing Scoot, a collaborative activity which requires students to respond to task cards practicing the skill.

5th Grade: Students will conduct mini-experiments to prepare for our visit to the Science Center on Thursday.  We will be leaving the school around 9:30 and walking to the Science Center.  We will be back around 1:30.  We will be eating lunch there - students should bring their lunch or will be given one if it was marked on the permission slip.  Students will not be allowed to purchase lunches at the food court.

I'm sure you've heard all about it by now, but today, we went to the Final Mile Run sponsored by the Hartford Marathon Foundation.  Everyone had a great time - there was lots of dancing, singing, and running.  Here are a few pictures from the beginning of the day.  I think they'll sleep well tonight! :)
