Quint Two Projects

As we wrap up the quint, it is time for our interdisciplinary projects.

The 4th Grade projects were went home today.  Students are required to research an ecosystem and a food chain that exists within that ecosystem.  They will create a visual of their food chain along with producing a 2-paragraph expository piece about the ecosystem and the food chain.  The specific details and grading rubrics, please download the document, found here.

The 5th Grade projects will be sent home tomorrow.  Students will write a science fiction piece describing how sound travels from the source, through the ear, and to the brain to be interpreted.  Students will be required to include a set of vocabulary words pertaining to the content.  We have been using an interactive resource in class to learn about who the ear works.  Students have taken notes in class from this source.  Notes should have gone home today.  However, if they got lost somewhere between school and home, students can use the previously mentioned site as a resource.  The description and rubrics can be found here.

All projects are due Tuesday, October 21.  Projects should be typed or very neatly written.  Any projects that do not meet our standards and expectations will be required to be redone.  Early submissions are welcome!
