Yesterday, 4th graders received the first part of a research paper outline for the Invention Fair. The parts of this research paper will also be the sections on the display board. 5th graders will receive theirs today. The outline is a starting place/suggestion for the sections. Students do not need to follow it word for word, but each section should be completed. This is to be considered a rough draft. It is expected that students type or (very neatly) write their final drafts.
Due dates are written on the outline that was passed out and posted below. The second half of the outline will be given out next week. The link above will give you the entire outline.
At this point, almost all students have completed their assignments. It is time to start building. All inventions should be build, tested, and revised (if needed) by next Thursday. With the impending snow, I am stressing the importance of thinking ahead to the kids. All Invention Log due dates still stand.
