4th and 5th Grade News - Week of 8/4

I can't believe we've started the last week of Quint 1 - time flies!

It was great seeing many of you out at the concert last Friday.  It was one of my favorite concerts since I've been teaching at CPrep!

As we wrap up the Quint, both grades are beginning a review unit on place value.  IXL has great practice for all place value skills, including representing numbers, comparing numbers, and rounding numbers.  I suggest students work on skills from the previous year first to review.

Homework this week does not have a minutes requirement.  However, it is due by Friday.  Thursday, students will receive their Summer Break Homework, which is also mandatory. 

Friday, August 8 the Lower School will be having an assembly followed by Yard Games and a BBQ!  I sounds like it is going to be an awesome way to end the Quint.  Students should wear their gym uniforms Friday.

Also, report cards will be going home Friday.

Quint 2 will begin Monday, August 25.

Shout Out to Sophia G. and Diamond M. who have been elected 4th and 5th grade Prefects for Lower School Student Government.  Congratulations, girls!
