Important Information

Wow!  We are already on week 2!  We have been thoroughly enjoying getting to know each of your children.

Some of the topics below are covered at Back to School Night, but this does not happen until Quint 2.  Therefore, we wanted to make you aware of some things sooner, rather than later.

Water Bottles
It’s hot!  While students are expected to be in their appropriate uniform all day, every day, it can get a little toasty.  This is especially true when students are running outside at recess.  Please feel free to send your child to school with a water bottle to have in class.  It is preferred students have a water bottle that has a straw or some type of smaller opening in order to prevent spills as much as possible.

Snack
Students are given time to have a snack in afternoon class.  Snacks are not provided by the school or teachers.  Please send your child to school with a snack each day.  Healthy snacks are preferred.  Please do not send in candy.

Uniforms
Students are to wear their formal uniform each day, including a belt and black, navy, or white socksOn gym days, students should bring their Capital Prep gym uniform and sneakers and will change for class

Homework
Homework is graded based on completion and effort.  A grade is given to students for each homework assignment under the standard “Completes required tasks outside of class.”  Therefore, students are to complete all required assignments for a grade of 3.  If students would like to earn a 4, they may complete extra assignments or online work (when accounts are set up, information will be sent home).

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!  Be sure to check this site weekly for updates!
