As of 12:45pm on Friday, our current 4th graders will move on to become the leaders of the Lower School. As most of the kids know, I will be teaching both fifth grade math classes next year - something I am SO excited about!
5th grade is a HUGE year! To make sure all of our kids are practicing their math skills and keeping their brains in shape, 4th graders were given a summer break homework assignment. If paced out, this assignment will not consume or overload the kids with work over break. I suggest completing two pages or so each week - don't save it until the end of break!
This assignment requires them to apply and extend the skills they learned in fourth grade. This assignment it due on the first day of school, July 6. It will count as the first homework grade for 5th grade.
Over the break, if there are any questions on the assignment or about 5th grade in general, feel free to contact me via email.
I am looking forward to a great 2015-2016 school year!
