Invention Fair - Winners!

First off, I would like to congratulate all my students on creating and presenting great inventions.  I received so many compliments about the behavior and conduct of my students - I was so proud.  Also, I was told that all the students did an excellent job sharing, explaining, and presenting their ideas (even when some inventions did not work as planned).  Additionally, I want to thank all the parents and families that were able to come out and support our kids.  They were so happy to see you there.

I did not take any pictures during the event, so if you did and want to share, please either email or text them to me.  I will post them here and keep them for the Yearbook and Grays to Blues Slideshow (for this year and next year).

I am happy to announce our winners for the Invention Fair that was held on Thursday, February 26:

The kindergarten, first grade, and second grade winning classes will go on to represent Capital Prep at the District Fair (date TBA).

We can only send 1 student between grades 3 and 5 to the district competition.  To determine the Capital Prep representative for the 3rd - 5th grade band, we will be having our First Ever Capital Prep Shark Tank Competition (modeled after the TV show).  Danaejah, Keshawn, and Zaika will compete in the Shark Tank on Friday, March 6 at 8:30.  If you can, please join us.  It will be in the Sheff Center and last until approximately 9:45.

The 2nd and 3rd place winners in grades 3, 4, and 5 will present their inventions at the State Capital on April 1 at the Connecticut Invention Convention Day event.  Information for those students will be sent home after break.

Again, I am very proud of all my students' inventions and presentations!
